Summer Solstice Meditation

Summer Solstice Poem

Here at the edge of all the things I have asked for…
I stand holding my breath, resisting the leap,
doubting what I was thinking in the first place.
I look away and immediately remember.
I came for Peace.
I came for Freedom.
It’s not my fault I don’t know what that is…
I didn’t create this amnesia…
and yet…
I know already
vibrating in my cells
what it is…
I came here to breathe.

I breathe.

I turn towards this edge.
Another point of no return
Already so very far away from the status quo.

I breathe,
with all my courage,
the edge.
